The Summer Members Meeting is just around the corner and the time has come to decide precisely where that corner is going to be and what kind of presentations we would like to share with our members and strategic partners.

I am going to open discussion with suggesting Roane State Community College as a possible location. The facilities in Crossville have the capacity to broadcast the meeting to their other locations throughout the Upper Cumberland region.
Just an idea :)

Thank You and I look forward to hearing and/or reading your suggestions.

I like the idea of the Appalachian Ctr. for Crafts, only if they can be encouraged to begin offering wooden boat building classes ;-)

Summer Meeting Ideas

Zeb,I like the idea of having the meeting at Roane State Community College.  I wanted to toss another idea into the ring as well.  I don't think that the Alliance has ever done a meeting that focuses on the culture of the region.  I'm mainly thinking about arts here.  What about seeing if the Appalachian School for Craft would host us.  They hosting a public meeting for us once years ago.  We could have presentations from some of their staff, from the Upper Cumberland Arts Alliance, from Cumberland County Playhouse....the list goes on and on. Maybe the Roane State idea would be better suited for the summer meeting, and this could wait until the Fall....whatever works!Katherine

Great Idea

Having the summer meeting at the Center for Craft is a wonderful idea. We should definitely bring the cultural arts to the table at one of our meetings.
